What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding category for participants with high support needs, providing 24/7 assistance to live independently, often in shared accommodation. Our SIL services aim to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where participants can develop essential life skills, increase their independence, and actively participate in their community.

Community Engagement
We actively encourage and support our participants to engage in various community activities and events. Through social interactions and community involvement, participants can expand their social networks and experience a more enriched life.
Continuous Progress Monitoring
We regularly assess and review our participants progress towards their individual goals. As needs evolve, we adapt our support to ensure that they continue to receive the most suitable and effective care possible.
Supported Independent Living (SIL) properties now available.

Our SIL program is focused on helping individuals live as independently as possible, while receiving tailored support that aligns with their goals, needs, and NDIS plans. Each SIL residence is move-in ready, complete with furnishings, high-speed internet, and essential utilities.
If you know someone who could benefit from a supportive SIL arrangement, we’d love to chat. We can also arrange a tour of the properties and discuss the option of trial stays to ensure a comfortable fit before making a commitment.
Location: Marlow Lagoon | On large acreage block, close to shops, medical clinics surrounded by bushland.
Property 1
We currently have 1 x vacancy in this unique 3-bedroom property, plus a support staff room. There is even a large pool!
Ratio: Sharing with two other female residents at a 1:3 ratio
Age Range: Ideal match would be within age range 40 – 60 years
You’ll share with an indigenous female tenant aged in her early 60’s with interests in arts & crafts, spending time with family and in the local community. This homely residence is a place where you can relax or have the opportunity to continue to build life skills. The Better Connections team encourages and facilitates capacity building activities while providing choice and control.

Property 2
We currently have 1 x vacancy is in an Specialist Disability Accomodation (SDA) it’s a two bedroom property with own bathrooms, plus a support staff room. The SDA property is operated by another provider and we provide 24/7 SIL.
Ratio: Sharing with one other male resident at a blended 1:1 & 1:2 ratio
Age Range: Ideal match would be within age range 40 – 60 years
Do you have SDA funding and looking for a Registered SIL provider? The SDA home is operated by a separate SDA provider and we deliver the SIL supports. You’ll share with a male tenant aged in his late 40s with interests in fishing, good conversation and spending time in the local community. This homely residence is a place where you can relax or have the opportunity to continue to build life skills. The Better Connections team encourages and facilitates assistance in daily activities and capacity building while providing choice & control.
