Meet Tamara, a compassionate and experienced team member who brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her role at Better Connections.

New to the BCNT team, Tamara joins with over five years of industry experience, having begun her journey as a support worker. Throughout her career, she has worked across Australia, supporting NDIS participants from almost every state. This diverse experience has shaped her adaptable approach and deep understanding of the unique needs of individuals from all walks of life.

With many years of lived experience in mental health, Tamara offers a genuine sense of empathy and connection in her work. She is trained in trauma-informed care and is committed to creating safe, supportive environments where participants feel heard, respected, and empowered to achieve their goals.

Today, Tamara works as a Client Services Coordinator, where she coordinates supports for participants with care, consistency, and a strong focus on outcomes. She works closely with families, support workers, and allied health professionals to ensure every aspect of a participant’s supports runs smoothly. Known for her genuine dedication, Tamara goes above and beyond to make sure no detail is overlooked – always striving to create stability, build trust, and support each participant to live a full and meaningful life.

Tamara holds a Certificate III in Individual Support and a Certificate IV in Disability, further strengthening their ability to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.

Outside of work, Tamara enjoys spending quality time with her family, particularly camping, swimming, and getting creative with arts and crafts.
